Account Information
- Email address — Used for account creation and authentication via Firebase Authentication.
- Display name — Optional, used for personalization.
Usage Data
- Video prompts — The text descriptions you enter to generate videos. These are sent to third-party AI services for video generation.
- Generation history — Records of videos you have generated, stored locally and backed up to your account.
- Credit balance and transactions — Your credit usage and purchase history.
- Daily usage counts — Used to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse.
Device Information
- Device identifier — A hashed device ID used solely for abuse prevention (preventing multiple free-tier signups from the same device).
- App version — Used for compatibility checks and crash reporting.
Media Data
- Photos and videos — Only accessed when you explicitly choose to upload an image for image-to-video generation or select a video for editing. We do not access your media library without your action.
- Audio recordings — Only collected when you use the voice cloning feature. Recordings are sent to ElevenLabs for voice synthesis and are not stored permanently by us.

- To provide AI video generation services.
- To process purchases and manage your credit balance.
- To enforce content moderation policies and prevent abuse.
- To improve app performance and fix bugs (via Firebase Crashlytics).
- To send you notifications about completed video generations.

- Account data is stored in Firebase Firestore and retained while your account is active.
- Generated videos are stored temporarily on third-party servers (typically 24-72 hours) and backed up to your account in Firestore.
- Local cache files (temporary video/audio files) are automatically cleaned up after 24 hours.
- Moderation logs are retained for abuse prevention purposes.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted local storage (EncryptedSharedPreferences, SQLCipher).
- HTTPS for all network communications.
- API keys stored server-side in Firestore, never hardcoded in the app.
- Server-side purchase verification to prevent fraud.
- Content moderation on all prompts before generation.
6. Your Rights
- Access — You can view your data within the app (gallery, settings).
- Deletion — You can delete your account from Settings, which removes all associated data from our servers.
- Export — You can export your generated videos at any time using the batch export feature.
7. Children's Privacy
NOVA is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
